Shieldmaiden specialises in Historically accurate heraldic & traditional design decorated artifacts.

Due to Shieldmaiden becoming a Shieldmother, whilst still answering enquiries she will be having to reduce the number of orders she can take and orders already on her books may take longer.

I have made -

full size shields for family names,
clan fighting shields,
small shield-shaped wall plaques,
decorative pieces with real gold and silver leaf,
altar plaques depicting sun and moon symbols or with woven oak and holly leaves designs,
Celtic knot work crosses or animals
variations on green men/women.

The shields can be from full size fighting weight for reenactment to small decorative versions.

I will research names and invent or draw from experience or your design, medieval heraldic / Celtic / Norse shields, plaques, wall or altar pieces.

Most designs are done on wood and / or canvas and can be made weather proof. I can also do work on fine paper suitable for mounting in a frame.

Each piece is unique and made with care for the individual.
